Medicare-for-All and public option bills have been introduced in every recent Congress by progressive members. The question is whether such a bill is introduced before 2028 in the current or next Congress. Given the pattern of repeated introduction by sponsors like Bernie Sanders and Pramila Jayapal, the probability is moderate. However, the current political environment may discourage introduction if progressives lack sufficient caucus support to make it politically viable.
